COVID Information

We continue to adapt to the rapidly-changing circumstances that the spread of the coronavirus, COVID-19, presents to us as a campus and individually.  In order to meet the needs of students who would like to attend college closer to home, LVC has modified its transfer credit policy for those students who wish to transfer to LVC in the 2020-2021 academic year.

Transfer Credit Policy for Students Entering LVC in 2020-2021

We understand that some students may feel the need to attend college closer to home in response to the current COVID 19 emergency and that they will need to complete their education as efficiently and as economically as possible.  To facilitate this, Lebanon Valley College will honor the general education requirements of the sending institution for all students wishing to transfer to LVC in the 2020-2021 academic year.

If a student has completed their general education requirements with at least 40 credits of coursework at their sending institution we will consider those requirements met.

If a student has partially completed their general education requirements we will accept those credits* on a credit-match basis and will only require that student to complete their remaining general education credits.  This means that a student who has completed 24 general education credits at their sending institution will receive 24 credits toward general education at LVC and will only need to complete the remaining general education credits required in a baccalaureate program (this is normally 40 credits).

*A student must earn at least a C- in order for a course to transfer to LVC unless the sending institution graded that course on a P/F (pass/fail) basis in the spring 2020 term and did not distinguish between a P (pass) and a P (pass) at the D level.
