Further reflection. More possibilities.
Your Integrative Experience course will enable you to look back at your LVC education and recognize how many skills you have gained and demonstrated. You'll be able to communicate your value to employers and graduate or professional schools through interviews, cover letters, personal statements, and networking.
LVC's Breen Center for Graduate Success will be a key resource for you during this course.
You'll also tackle a complex issue from several disciplinary angles. You'll gain experience in problem-solving, thinking critically through writing, and integrating knowledge from different areas—all skills employers demand.
"The Integrative Experience was the perfect sandbox for channeling my interests in preventative medicine and community health because working with a community to prevent mental health crises really requires interdisciplinary knowledge and an interdisciplinary strategy. I collaborated with the counseling center to assess students' current pathways and barriers to mental health treatment. I then developed a strategic plan to address those barriers to deliver a more effective experience that addresses the holistic health of students at LVC. I look forward to seeing the impact that my collaborative leadership, critical thinking, and multidisciplinary solution development skills will have as I move on in my career."—Justin Lytle '20, exercise science, career peer, president of Student Government
