Accounting graduate Corine Denny turned a shadowing experience into four internships and now an exciting career as a logistics development engineer with Volvo.
LVC accounting students gain outstanding preparation for certification as a certified public accountant (CPA) or a certified management accountant (CMA). The accounting curriculum prepares students for careers in public accounting, government, industry, or finance.
Graduates have gone on to work with a diverse group of employers ranging from national, regional, and local accounting firms; to manufacturing and consumer products companies; and to small businesses. LVC accounting graduates have recently obtained jobs at Pricewaterhouse Coopers, The Hershey Company, Lockheed Martin, AIS, Inc., and the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue and many alumni have successfully launched their own entrepreneurial ventures.
Drawn to the flexibility and variety of the business field, Kirsten Wenger '13, M'18 was thrilled to learn she could double major in business administration and accounting at LVC. She later returned to The Valley for her MBA degree.
An accounting night connection led Nicole Files' 18 to a summer internship at KPMG, which has resulted in an offer for full-time employment after graduation.
Rachael Clark Sargent ’05 has garnered numerous awards and honors since graduating with a double major in accounting and business administration.
