Designed primarily for students who are considering a career in public service at the local, state, federal, or international level. A strong foundation in history provides students with a valuable context for contemporary policy-making and public administration, as well as many of the most important skills sought by government employers and graduate schools: strong oral and written communication, critical thinking, problem-solving, and research. All students complete an internship that ideally focuses on the intersection of history and public policy.
