Economics Internships

Our faculty want you to understand—and master—complex systems that are a feature of today’s global economy. In the classroom, you’ll learn how societies produce, distribute, and consume goods and services. Through internships and related experiences, you’ll apply this knowledge and gain first-hand expertise, leading to improved career prospects and opportunities. 

You’ll impress potential employers with your critical thinking and analytical skills, knowledge of economic theories and their application, intellectual flexibility and versatility, and motivation. And, you’ll learn an assertive and active approach to launching and managing your career and first job. 

Work closely with a faculty advisor and your assigned mentor in our Breen Center for Graduate Success, which will equip you with the skills needed to launch your career with confidence and clarity. 

LVC interns receive high scores in problem-solving, decision-making, and presentation skills from employers, which means you'll be part of a proud and successful tradition in leadership training. Many of our majors receive job offers from their internship company after graduation.
