Develop communicative and intercultural skills in German that have direct application to your professional life!
Unlike a traditional German major or minor, the concentration in Applied German enhances your chosen major by adding to it relevant German skills that extend your access to information, experiences, and global understanding.
Minimum of 18 credit hours above the 100-level, including,
Waived for students who place higher based on placement test, who transfer equivalent course credit, or who earn a 4 or 5 on the AP German exam.
Two semesters of GMN 300 (6 credits, repeatable for credit):
Six credits from the following:
Fall or spring term with LVC’s semester-long program in Berlin, Germany (8–12 credits)
An approved study abroad program of at least four weeks in a German-speaking country

Note: German will no longer be offered as a major or minor for students entering Fall 2019 and beyond. Courses will be offered at the 100 and 200 levels, and some 300-level courses.
