Pursuing a Dream Inspired by a City

Charles is an assistant editor and writer for the City Journal in New York City. He has written extensively for the Hazleton Standard-Speaker, and his articles have been published in The Atlantic, The American Conservative, The Weekly Standard, National Review Online, the Federalist, Irish Times, Philadelphia Inquirer, and more.

Graduate Success

Recent LVC history graduates are employed in interesting and rewarding careers and attending some of the nation’s best graduate schools. Positions include teaching history in Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Utah; serving as a research analyst for the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, Office of Population Health Improvement; working as a program associate for The Fund For American Studies (Washington, D.C.); and serving as a guide for the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania.

Others chose to continue their education in a wide range of academic areas. They enrolled in graduate programs at George Washington University (policy analysis and evaluation), University of Pittsburgh School of Law, Sotheby’s Institute of New York City (contemporary art), University of Maryland, Baltimore County (intercultural communications), Moravian Seminary (divinity), Duquesne University (public history), Widener University School of Law, and University of the Arts (museum communications).
