Musical theatre has become an increasingly popular subject over the past twenty years. 

Students interested in musical theatre will be able to study the subject practically and with a historical perspective. Students of any major can study acting, acting through song, general theatre, musical theatre history, and singing technique. The minor would be interdisciplinary (shared by Music and English) and will additionally enhance both curriculums.

All majors working in these classes will benefit when they apply the text analysis, reading comprehension, writing, and presentational skills learned in this minor to the coursework required for their majors.
