A Place for Mom Scholarship

Eligibility: College students enrolled in a program in the fields of gerontology, social work, medicine, nursing or sociology.

Amount: $1,000 

Application Deadline: May 1, 2020. Submissions received after May 1 will automatically be considered for future awards.

AMBUCS Scholarship Program

Eligibility: College juniors, seniors and graduate students pursuing degrees in physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech pathology or audiology.

Amount: $500-$1,500 (awards range annually)

American Addiction Centers

Eligibility: High school seniors and current college students pursuing a degree related to behavioral health, nursing, counseling, psychology, social work, marriage/family therapy or mental health and/or substance abuse.

Amount: $5,000 (first-place scholarship); $2,500 (second- and third-place scholarships).

American Physical Therapy Association Scholarships

Eligibility: College students enrolled in a physical therapy program; a faculty nomination may be required depending on the scholarship.

BeMo and SortSmart Pre-Med Scholarship

Eligibility: Students must be enrolled in a pre-med program or be a medical student in good academic standing.

CIA Medical Scholarship

Eligibility: U.S. citizen studying at an accredited University.

Amount: Three $1000 awards and seven $250 awards.

"Improving Senior Living" Scholarship

Eligibility: Students in any major but ideally majoring in a health care profession.

Michael Moody Fitness Scholarship

Eligibility: Current high school senior, undergraduate, or graduate student demonstrating outstanding achievement and interest in a healthcare-related field. 

Amount: $1500

Deadline: July 15, 2019, until 1,000 scholarship applications are submitted or August 1, 2020, whichever comes first.

HealthGrad.com Leadership Scholarship

Eligibility: Enrolled in a healthcare based program with a minimum GPA of 3.2.

Amount: $1000

National Institutes of Health (NIH) Undergraduate Scholarship Program

Eligibility: College students that display financial need and who are committed to careers in biomedical, behavioral and social science health-related research.

Amount: up to $20,000 in addition to paid research training at the NIH during the summer and paid employment at the NIH after graduation.

Occupational/Physical Therapy Scholarship - sponsored by the DAR

Eligibility: Students who display financial need and have been accepted by or are currently attending an accredited OT or PT program; a letter of sponsorship from the applicant's local DAR chapter is also required.

Ruth Abernathy Presidential Scholarship

Eligibility: College students (both undergraduate and graduate) majoring in a field related to health, physical education, recreation, and dance; membership with the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (AAHPERD) is required.

Amount: $1,250 (undergraduate award); $1,750 (graduate award)
