Computer Access for Students, Faculty & Staff

Students, faculty and staff with a valid LVC user account can log into library computers. Computers with Microsoft Office software are located on all three floors of the library. Bishop library also offers a touch-screen scanner to print, email, or save documents.

Laptops and tablets are available to borrow for a 7-day loan. Additional computers are available on campus, such as in the Lynch Computer Lab.

Printing in the library is limited to black and white copies only. LVC students are allotted 1,500 pages per student per semester for printing in computer labs and public areas such as Bishop Library. You can also save documents to a flash drive or to your user drive on the network. 

 

Wireless Computer Access (Wi-Fi)

Students, faculty and staff with a wireless laptop or other device and a valid LVC user account may access the LVC network from within the library. For set up information, see the LVC Wireless Network web page.  

 

Computer Access for Community Members & Visitors

Community members and other visitors can use designated computers located on the main floor of the library to access the Internet and library resources. Computers cannot be reserved, and computer use is limited to one two-hour block of time per day. Show a current driver’s license or other photo I.D. at the Circulation desk to receive a guest pass. Guest passes will not be issued if all the stairwell units are being used by LVC faculty, students, or staff.

Bishop Library provides free printing to community users and other visitors as a convenience. Please limit the number of pages that you print to help us contain costs and sustain this service. Excessive printing can result in the suspension of computer privileges.

The computing and networking facilities in Bishop Library are provided to support the educational and curriculum-related research needs of the Lebanon Valley College community. Individuals using this equipment for other purposes will be asked to stop and may be escorted from the building by Public Safety. Violations may result in suspension of library or computer use privileges, or in the case of non-LVC users, banishment from the campus.
