Looking for a way to earn money AND have fun while stuck in quarantine? Student Government and Student Programming Board will be hosting our first Virtual Dutchmen Dance-off Competition between ALL students.

All participants will be entered in a drawing to win one of thirty $10 gift cards just for entering and a chance to win $25 gift cards if their video is chosen as one of the following:

  • Best Choreography
  • Most Creative
  • Most Comical/Best Laugh
  • Best Performance Quality
  • Most Heart-warming
  • Best Costumes/Apparel
  • Best Overall (voted on by faculty and staff)

Contest Guidelines

1. Come up with a dance that shows how YOU are best handling the quarantine. Get creative!

2. Videos should be 20-40 seconds long and can include other family members, pets, and others you are quarantined with. Check out the SPB Twitter account for sample videos

3. Upload your completed video on Google drive here

4. To keep this competition going, once you upload your own video, post your dance on your own social media and nominate at least two people to submit their own videos. Use the hashtags #DisDANCE and #VirtualDutchmenDanceOff in your post. The more people we can get to share their own videos, the more fun this will be. If you were nominated and can’t submit a video for any reason, please contact Jen Evans or Emily Frazier so we can continue the chain.

5. Additionally, please be mindful of what you are putting in your videos, as winners will be featured on LVC’s Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook! *All videos with inappropriate content will be disqualified from the competition.

6. Video submissions are due by Tuesday, April 14, at 11:59 p.m. Winners will be announced on Friday, April 17, at 7 p.m.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Jen Evans (jevans@lvc.edu) or Emily Frazier (elf001@lvc.edu).
