Lebanon Valley College Announces Rocco and Nancy Ortenzio Scholarship

Lebanon Valley College (LVC) has announced the Rocco and Nancy Ortenzio Scholarship. Established by a $250,000 gift from the Ortenzio Foundation on behalf of businessman and healthcare company founder Rocco A. Ortenzio H'17, the scholarship will support students with financial need.

In announcing the scholarship, President Lewis E. Thayne said, “I am so grateful to Rocco and Nancy for this gift, which supports our highest priority—financial aid for our need-based students. Rocco understands our mission at LVC and the power of education to change lives. I could not be happier for our students who will benefit from this scholarship starting next fall.”

“We are honored to support the academic ambitions of today’s students who, with access to a quality education, will have the opportunity to help shape future generations,” said Rocco A. Ortenzio. “It is our hope that by removing financial barriers, it clears the way for bright minds to focus on learning, exploration, and achievement.”

Thayne further stated, “Lebanon Valley College has welcomed back-to-back record-breaking incoming class enrollments in the past two years, in part because of our financial aid offerings.”

The College has invested an additional $14 million in aid since 2014 and now awards more than $41 million in institutional aid per year. It has also enhanced the student experience by opening the new $20 million Jeanne and Edward H. Arnold Health Professions Pavilion and launching the Edward and Lynn Breen Center for Graduate Success, which provides career guidance to students starting in their first semester.
