Thanks to her outstanding achievement in the classroom and on the field of play this winter and spring, Lebanon Valley women's track & field athlete Olivia Jendrzejewski has been named a CoSIDA Second-Team Academic All-American. It is her second academic all-America honor in as many seasons.
Wrapping up one of the most successful careers in program history, Jendrzejewski is coming off a senior campaign that saw her compete in the high jump event at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field National Championships in May. The team captain earned all-America status by finishing fifth, nationally, in the event in 2016. She came home third in the high jump at the NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field National Championships in March after finishing as the national runner-up in the event as a junior. She picked up all-America honors for both indoor efforts.
The three-time all-American earned USTFCCCA Outdoor All-Region status in the high, long, and triple jump events, as well as the 100-meter hurdles. She won a MAC Outdoor Championship in the triple jump and picked up First-Team All-MAC honors in all three jump events and the 100-meter hurdles. She is a four-time 2017 MAC Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week and a two-time ECAC South Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week.
Jendrzejewski has also shined academically throughout her career. She was named a CoSIDA Third-Team Academic All-American following her outstanding junior campaign a year ago and won the 2017 MAC Senior Scholar-Athlete Award, the league's highest individual honor, for both indoor and outdoor competition this spring. She is a two-time CoSIDA Academic All-District honoree and is a four-time MAC Academic All-Conference honoree. The recent Health Science grad earned her undergraduate degree and will continue her education as a member of LVC's highly-competitive Physical Therapy program.
