External Offers for Internet, Data, and Phone Service

Comcast/Xfinity Offers

  • Comcast is taking steps to help low-income families by offering 60 days of free internet through their Internet Essentials program.  For more information, please visit www.internetessentials.com, or call 1-855-846-8376 (English) or 1-855-765-6995 (Spanish).
  • Xfinity WiFi Free for Everyone: Xfinity WiFi hotspots across the country will be available to anyone who needs them for free, including non-Xfinity Internet subscribers.  For a map of Xfinity WiFi hotspots, visit www.xfinity.com/wifi.  Once at a hotspot, consumers should select the "xfinitywifi" network name in the list of available hotspots and then launch a browser.
  • All current customers of Xfinity will have unlimited data for 60 days for no additional charge.
  • Customers will not have their internet service shut off or late fees assessed if they contact Comcast to let them know they can't pay their bills in the next 60 days.

 

T-Mobile Offers

  • Starting immediately, ALL current T-MObile and Metro by T-Mobile customers have unlimited smartphone data for the next 60 days (excluding roaming).
  • Providing all T-Mobile and Metro by T-Mobile customers an additioanl 20GB of mobile hotspot/tethering service for the next 60 days, coming soon.
  • Working with Lifeline partners to provide customers extra free data up to 5GB per month over the next two months
  • Increasing the data allowance at no extra charge to schools and students using our EmpowerED digital learning program to ensure each participant has access to at least 20GB of data per month for the next 60 days

 

Spectrum Offers

  • FREE Internet Access to qualifying homes with students.  Call 1-844-579-3743 to enroll.

 

Sprint Offers

  • Providing Unlimited data for 60 days to customers with metered data plans (effective 3/18/20)
  • Giving 20 GB of free mobile hotspot to customers with hotspot-capable devices (effective 3/18/20)
  • Waiving per-minute toll charges for international long distance calls from the U.S. to CDC-defined Level 3 countries (effective 3/17/20)

 

AT&T Offers

  • Suspending broadband usage caps for our home internet customers.  That means no overage fees while people are home using more data
  • Public Wi-Fi hotpsots open for anyone who neds them
  • Internet access for qualifiying lmited-income households at $10/month through Access from AT&T program
  • Won't terminate service of any wireless, home phone, or broadband residential or small business customer due to an inability to pay their bill as a result fo the coronavirus pandemic - and waiving late payment fess for those customers

 

Verizon Offers

  • When a Verizon customer is experiencing hardships because of COVID-19, Verizon will waive late fees for 60 days from 3/16/20 to 5/16/20, and will not terminate service to a customer who's been impacted by the events involving the Coronavirus.  If customers are experiencing a hardship, they should cal customer service to discuss their situation and available options.  Customer support contact numbers, an online chat feature, and support content can be found on the following pages:  Verizon Wireless       Verizon Business         Verizon In Home
  • Verizon will offer free international calling to countries identified by the CDC as level 3 impacted by the coronavirus effective 3/18 through the end of April.  This is available to wireless postpaid consumer and small/medium business customers, and landline home phone customers.  Unlimited calling will be included for mobile and landline calls, with the exception of Iran, Latvia, Lithuania, and Slovenia provided 300 minutes of free calls per month.  Effective 3/19/20, wireless prepaid customers will also receive a total of 300 additional minutes to call level 3 countries.
  • Verizon will waive activation fees on new lines of service and upgrade fees starting March 18.  This applies to all purchases and service-only activations made through Verizon digital channels, such as verizonwireless.com and the My Verizon app.
  • Through April 30, Verizon will offer unlimited domestic calling to customers on limited-minute plans.  Eligible customers will receive a text message to inform them of the offer.  No action is necessary; the offer will automatically be added to eligible accounts.
