The Summer Enrichment Program (SEP) is a 7-day, pre-freshman program geared at providing incoming first-year and transfer ALANA (African/African American, Latina, Asian and Native American) and multiracial students with a jump start on college life. The program combines peer mentoring, residential living, academic success, and leadership development to assist students in making a successful transition to college and the LVC community.

No. Meals and program activities are of no cost to the student. Anything additional is the student’s responsibility (i.e. late night snacks, items purchased during shopping trips, etc.)
No. Students should bring the items they intend to use throughout the program only.
*For program participants only, there will be a limited storage option for belongings you can fit into an 18 gallon plastic tote.
Participants are expected to be actively involved and in attendance at all program activities. The more you put in, the more you will get out of the experience.
Yes, all Summer Enrichment Program participants will be invited to move back to campus the day before traditional new student move-in. We will do some programming and reconnect before the start of Orientation.
Absolutely! The priority population for the Summer Enrichment Program is ALANA and multicultural students, all students are welcome and encouraged to participate.
