The Key to a Successful College Experience is Planning

Freshman year:  Research majors, attend career events, consider taking career assessments, build *Handshake profile, get involved in on-campus clubs and organizations, create a resume. 

Sophomore year: Decide on a major, explore career options, conduct informational interviews and job shadowing, begin building an online profile, update your resume, attend career events

Junior year: Participate in internships, consult with career mentors, meet with Breen Center staff to review resume and cover letter, participate in career fairs and mock interviews, begin graduate school preparation (if applicable)

Senior year: Attend career fairs, finalize resume and cover letter, begin an online job search, apply to graduate schools, participate in mock interviews, meet with Breen Center staff to discuss job search strategies and interview preparation.
